Scott's Analysis
Injury Update
August 3, 2010
1. Dez Bryant -- Dallas Cowboys
-- High Ankle Sprain
Being that Dez Bryant is a
rookie his fantasy value is no better than a third receiver. High ankle
sprains are tough to come back from, plus once he is back he still
needs to get his timing back with Romo. If you are in a keeper league,
he is worth a late round pick, if not I would stay away or use one of
my last draft picks. Remember injury and rookie status does not add up
to a very valuable fantasy pick, especially for Receivers.
2. Percy Harvin -- Minnesota Vikings --
Ankle Sprain
Reports out of Viking camp are
that the injury is not that bad. However before you draft Percy you may
want to go back to his days as a Florida Gator. The injury that kept
him off the field is this same ankle injury. I am not saying to stay
away from him, however draft with caution. Also keep an eye on a
certain QB with the #4 jersey.
3. Knowshown Moreno -- Denver Broncos --
Slightly Torn Hamstring
This is the worst injury of
all the players listed. Knowshown was one of those backs that was going
to split carries which would hurt his value. Now that he has the torn
hammy stay far, far away. Keep an eye out to see if the Broncos go
after Brian Westbrook.
4. Montario Hardesty -- Cleveland Browns
-- Twisted Knee
Cadillac Williams -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Please read article about
drafting players on teams that do not score many points. I would
consider both the Browns and Buccaneers as teams that fit that
catergory. If both players were healthy I would tell you the same thing
as I am telling you with their injuries. DO NOT DRAFT!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT
PUT THEM ON YOUR CHEAT SHEETS. IF YOU WANT A CHANCE AT A WINNING
SEASON, STAY AWAY FROM NOT ONLY THEM, BUT EVERYONE ELSE ON THOSE TWO
TEAMS!
