T.O. to Bengals Hype Begins

let the Fantasy Football “where do I draft T.O?”
hype begin. Do yourself a favor and let the competition take him in the
first 3 rounds. If you look at his stats you’ll see they have
decreased for the last 3 consecutive years. 2007- 81 catches, 1355
yards, 15 touchdowns; 2008 - 69 catches, 1052 yards, 10 touchdowns;
2009- 55 catches, 829 yards, 5 touchdowns (albeit on a crappy Buffalo
Bills team). Plus he will be turning 37 years old this December. Now if
you can get him in maybe the 6th or 7th round take a chance.
While I am not high on his stock, I do believe this will now raise the
value of Chad Ochocinco, Cedric Benson (if not suspended), Carlson
Palmer (maybe grab him in the 6th round instead of the 7th like I
mentioned in a prevoius article) and definitely rookie tight-end (and
sleeper) Jermaine Gresham. Having T.O. on the Bengals will take double
coverage away from Ochocinco, open up the running game for Benson and
also take the pressure off Gresham. Owens most importantly gives Carson
Palmer another toy to play with. With all this said, I still do not
believe Mr. Owens will have a great year nor should he be drafted
before the 6th round.
